ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Sarah Slayton, a family photographer located in Los Altos, CA. I am former second grade teacher and now I stay home with my two young daughters. They keep me on my toes and drinking LOTS of coffee!

I began my photography business 6 years ago. My husband purchased a Canon DSLR to use at his summer camp. Having taken photography in high school, I offered to take some photos of the kids going down the waterslide and playing water games. Taking pictures that day reignited my passion for photography and I decided to claim my husband's new camera :)

It is my biggest joy to capture genuine smiles and the happiness and love that connect a family. I use all natural light and love to shoot a few hours before sunset when the light is golden and beautiful. My style has been described as warm, engaging, natural and vibrant. I specialize in family, children, high school seniors and fine art school portraits for preschools.
